The Alabama High School Athletic Association (ASHAA) recently highlighted the Thomasville High School Tigers football team for achieving their 700th win, calling it a "milestone".

A story by ASHAA said that their last game was against Sumter Central where the final score was 50-0, making it their 700th victory and the fifth school in AHSAA to do so.

Others to have as many or more are Brewton, Oneota, Fayette County and Deshler High School.

The team is coached by Clint Anderson, who has a family connected to Thomas High School and football. His father, Charlie Anderson, helped establish the Thomasville Sports Hall of Fame.

"My dad played and coached at Thomasville, my brother and me played at Thomasville, my sons and my grandsons have played at Thomasville,” he said. “Our family is wrapped up in the history of this special place.”
