COLLINSVILLE, Texas (KTEN) - The Collinsville Pirates travel to Lindsay for a big district matchup!
Collinsville has been without starting Quarterback JJ Jenkins since week one, yet still hold a 5-1 record with Paxton Davidson filling in at the helm.
The Pirates will have to focus on defense this week though, as Lindsay brings a option offense that is hard to stop!
"It's a good week to see what our guys are made of. It's going to be very physical game and it's going to get us ready for Muenster." Collinsville Sophomore Quarterback and Linebacker Paxton Davidson said.
"You know, when you face a option team, you always have to play assignment football. They are really big upfront, but we've been getting better defensively all year long." Head Coach Garrett Patterson said. "Option is no fun to face, I mean, you don't see it but every once and a while and so it's very difficult to sit here and practice three days on it then go out and really do a great job of executing."
