Southside Panthers lose to Greensboro after steady first half

SOUTHSIDE V GREENSBORO

After a thrilling win against rival Selma Saints last week, the Southside Panthers had their first loss of the season to Greensboro High School Friday night.

The Panthers had a steady first half against Greensboro, leading most of it. But Greensboro’s strong second half put them on top 32-20.

The week before, the Southside High School Panthers pulled out a win against in-town rival Selma High Saints 28-24 also at home.

They now have a 1-1 record for the 2020 season.

Southside plays Montgomery Academy at home Sept. 11.
