Kay Ivey and other officials came to Camden, Alabama, on Tuesday to dedicate the naming of the T-Pier at Roland Cooper State Park for outdoor enthusiast James "Big Daddy" Lawler, who passed away in February. On his radio and later social media program Gettin' Outdoors with BDL, Lawler promoted ecotourism in the Black Belt and pushed for a new pier at Roland Cooper.
