Authorities still on lookout for fugitive with ties to Montgomery area

Authorities are still searching for a "violent" fugitive believed to have ties to the Montgomery area, said a recent announcement from CrimeStoppers. 

Kenyada Lavar Johnson, 39, is being sought by the Montgomery Police Department and the United States Marshal Service Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force for robbery in the first degree.

Johnson is wanted in connection to a robbery at a business on the 4000 block of Eastdale Circle on July 3 shortly after midnight. He allegedly demanded money from the clerk at gunpoint. 

He reportedly has a history of criminal activity and has friends and family in Montgomery. Police believe that he recently visited Gibbs Village.

He is described as a black male standing at 5'11" and weighing approximately 195 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.

Johnson is considered armed and dangerous. Crimestoppes is offering a cash reward for information that could lead to his arrest.
