Jackson Hospital in Montgomery has reportedly reached a deal with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) in its dispute over payments and will remain open for the time being.Â
An announcement was made on social media in which it was stated that a "verbal" agreement was made with BCBS in the aftermath of a lawsuit that was filed against the insurance company.Â
The lawsuit claimed that BCBS needed to pay Jackson Hospital the same reimbursement rates as the nearby Baptist Medical Center South.Â
A judge struck down a preliminary injunction requested by Jackson Hospital and stated that the same rates did not have to be paid.Â
The recent announcement from Jackson Hospital said that more information would be shared in the future.Â
