The movies leaving Netflix this month
Thanksgiving usually guarantees a few constants: turkey, football, and family. And it's that last one that tends to get complicated, especially once certain topics start flying across the table. So, to keep things peaceful (and maybe even a little entertaining) in 2025 (which is no easy feat), consider steering the conversation toward something everyone can agree on: movies—specifically, the 47 titles leaving Netflix in November. There's a little something for every taste, from horror flicks and blockbuster sequels to Oscar favorites. Plus, there are plenty of opportunities to debate which ones are worth rewatching before they're gone, instead of arguing over more heated topics.
There are several reasons a film may get dropped from a streamer like Netflix; perhaps the movie's rights are no longer available, or its popularity doesn't justify the licensing costs. The motivation may vary, and though most of Netflix's November 2025 cinematic casualties already met their fate on the first of the month, there's still time to catch 10 of the departing films.Â
"Is This Thing On?", Bradley Cooper's third directorial feature, hits theaters on Dec. 19, 2025, so now is the perfect time to catch up on his debut. "A Star Is Born," which exits Netflix stage left on Nov. 8, is the third remake of the 1937 classic. In his 2018 version, Cooper stars as a legendary rock artist who discovers Ally (Lady Gaga) and helps ignite her rocket to pop superstardom. Time is ticking for you to watch their epic performance of "Shallow," Gaga's Oscar-winning song from the film, co-sung by Cooper.Â
If you're in the mood for more popcorn spectacle, you'll have until Nov. 15 to catch all four films in the "Jaws" franchise on Netflix. That includes Steven Spielberg's 1975 original, which redefined Hollywood and celebrated its 50th anniversary this year. The three "Jaws" sequels, released from 1978 to 1987, became progressively bloodier and goofier with each iteration.Â
Perhaps you would rather enjoy the ocean from the fictional Greek island of Kalokairi? Yes, 2008's "Mamma Mia," starring Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried, is getting swept away from Netflix on Nov. 16. So you still have a couple of weeks to sing the night away with your best ABBA impression.Â
Want to know what else is leaving Netflix in November 2025? Stacker has you covered with this list of all the movies departing the streamer this month, along with the last day they'll be available to stream on the platform. There are also supplementary insights from IMDb on each film's director, cast, and runtime.Â
Instead of bickering with family this Thanksgiving, who knows? Maybe you'll all break out into "Dancing Queen" instead!
