The Southside High School Panthers faced off against the Keith High School Bears on Friday night in the Panthers' Den.Â
The first varsity contest was between the Lady Panthers and the Lady Bears. The Lady Bears were able to pull off the 51-21 victory against the Lady Panthers.
A. Howard led the Lady Panthers in scoring with 6 points. J. Moore led the Lady Bears in scoring with 14 points. S. Moore finished with 12 points and J. Atkins added 10 points.Â
The varsity boys match started off with great intensity. Both teams played hard throughout the entire game, but the Panthers never gave up their lead. Ultimately, the Panthers were able to pull off a 63-48 win against the Bears. A. Towns led the Panthers in scoring with 17 points. Z. Shanks finished with 11 points and D. Surles added 10 points. The Bears were led in scoring by T. Lanier with 17 points and E. Hall finished with 13 points.
The Panthers faced Selma High School on Dec. 14 at home.
