When it comes to World Cup fashion, these players definitely got the memo.
From Hermès to Bottega and Chanel, these international stars have completely redefined athlete travel style.
As the FIFA bracket narrowed down to the best eight teams in the world, let’s take a look back at the most memorable bags this tournament has seen.
1. Norway’s Erling Haaland
Erling Haaland may be known as a “beast” on the soccer field, but his taste for luxury bags is exquisite. The Manchester City forward arrived at the tournament carrying an ultra-rare Hermès Haut à Courroies (HAC) 50 “Endless Road” in Gris Perle. Originally designed for equestrian use, the oversized bag features a multi-colored mountain landscape and a highway. It is currently on the resale market for up to $45,000.
2. France’s Marcus Thuram
France's forward knows how to make a fashion statement. Thuram arrived in black Nike sweatpants, a hoodie and his emerald-green Chanel x Pharrell Williams XXL Suede Flap Bag from the luxury house’s 2019 collaboration with the rapper. It screams loud luxury, which is making a comeback. The oversized collector’s item stole the spotlight amid a sea of Louis Vuitton duffle bags. The bag is available on resale sites for up to $25,000.
3. France’s Kylian Mbappé:
Mbappé has expressed his preference for Dior this World Cup, with his $7,100 chocolate brown Medium Dior Normandie Tote eschewing the ultimate quiet luxury look. It’s a 10-out-of-10 bag that represents what the luxury house does best: craftsmanship.
4. Spain’s Lamine Yamal:
Spain's teenage phenom, Lamine Yamal, proved that the younger generation is equally fluent in high fashion. Arriving at the Spanish team's base, Yamal turned heads in a head-to-toe Chanel outfit, pairing it with a massive shopping tote from the house’s Métiers d’art 2026 collection. It would not be a surprise if Matthieu Blazy selects him as a Chanel ambassador in the near future.
